Prasat Phnom Kon Khleng
Phnom Kon Khleng temple is located in Kon Khleng village, Poi Char commune, Phnom Srok district, Banteay Meanchey province. The temple is built on a natural hill about 50 meters high. It is a brick temple facing east and has a wall made of laterite and has a door, a diamond pillar, a pedestal, a staircase made of pink sandstone or SiChapou. The temple has three towers running along the north axis to the south on a slightly lower ridge, today only one tower is in good shape, standing and the other has collapsed, the rest of the pile of dry stone and some sandstone. The ramparts have an east entrance with a staircase, but have almost completely collapsed. There are other ornaments that suggest that the temple may have been built in the late 10th century and may have been added in the early 11th century during the Angkorian period in the style of a Kleang Art and may have been built for the worship of the deity Eyso in Brahman.
